MCCC has grown with the community since its founding and boasts more than 90,000 alumni. The college offers comprehensive curriculum including nearly a dozen online degree and certificate programs and several hybrid options. Students who earn associate degrees seamlessly transfer to public and private colleges and universities throughout the region, and more than two-thirds of career graduates are employed in their fields of study. Health Sciences Program graduates consistently exceed national average pass rates on professional certifications. The college is funded by Montgomery County, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and student tuition, and is fully accredited by the Commission of Higher Education of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Secondary Schools.
MCCC is governed by a 15-person Board of Trustees appointed by Montgomery County Commissioners to six-year renewable terms. The Board serves as a policy-governing body with responsibilities including setting curriculum and student access policies, approving budgets, setting tuition and fees, hiring and evaluating the President, and overseeing property management and vendor contracts. The Board meets monthly in public sessions from September to June and uses a committee structure to address finance/audit, physical plant, curriculum, and personnel issues.
