Siloam Wellness is a Philadelphia-based organization founded in 1996 to provide compassionate, holistic care during the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Today, Siloam serves thousands through trauma-informed care and HIV wellness programs that address the mind, body, and spirit of individuals seeking healing and resilience.
Siloam's mission centers on primary and secondary trauma-informed care and HIV wellness, awareness, and advocacy. By addressing trauma at its core and providing holistic support, Siloam empowers individuals to build emotional resilience, restore trust in healthcare, and live healthy, dignified lives.
Founded in 1996 by Sister Bernadette Kinniry and Father Don Reilly, Siloam emerged as a sanctuary of hope during one of the most challenging chapters of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Over three decades, the organization has evolved to offer a comprehensive suite of support groups and programs rooted in the Sanctuary Model of Care, recognizing that healing extends beyond physical care to encompass emotional and spiritual dimensions of health.
Siloam offers a whole-person approach including mind and spirit services (individual counseling, spiritual direction, and support groups for grief, trauma, and gender-specific communities); body and wellness services (massage, Reiki, yoga, Chi Kung, Pilates, and nutritional support); and community and education programs (community building events, educational workshops, retreats, and prevention programming).
