Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia has served Philadelphia's youth since 1887, operating 22 clubs across the region with over 220 staff members. The organization enables young people, especially those who need support most, to reach their full potential through preschool, after-school, and teen programming in the city's most underserved communities. With a focus on literacy, STEM, health, arts, and character development, BGCP has expanded significantly over the past decade, serving thousands of youth annually.

Founded in 1887, Boys & Girls Clubs of Philadelphia includes three original clubs—Germantown, Wissahickon, and Nicetown—that were part of the founding of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America over 100 years ago. Under the leadership of President-CEOs Lisabeth and Joseph Marziello, the organization has undergone transformational growth, expanding from 12 to 22 clubs, raising over $200 million, eliminating long-term debt, and launching the Bold Change for Kids campaign to modernize facilities. The organization has achieved nine consecutive years of operating surplus and increased membership by 65%.
Leadership includes President-CEOs Lisabeth and Joseph Marziello, recognized nationally for transformational nonprofit leadership and community revitalization. The finance team includes CFO Dennis Shine, Controller Albert Jimenez, Assistant Controller Alexandra Freeman, Finance Specialist Wendi Wingfield, and Executive Vice President of Administrative Operations, HR and Development Kelli Agostini, an alumna of the Boys & Girls Club movement.
Core programs include Character & Leadership, Kids Cafe (serving over 500 youth daily at three locations), Literacy Initiative (reaching over 2,500 youth annually), STEM Learning Labs (engaging over 1,500 youth yearly), Health & Life Skills, Sports, Fitness & Recreation, Education & Career Development, and Arts & Culture. The organization also operates seven school extension sites and offers preschool, after-school, and teen programming.
The organization hosts annual fundraising events including the Coach's Private Reserve Dinner (which raised over $3 million in 2024), the Michael Chapman Memorial Golf Classic, and community events like Luzardo's Cheesesteaks for Charity.
