Resources for Human Development (RHD) is a national human services nonprofit founded in 1970 that operates over 115 programs across the country, serving tens of thousands of people annually. RHD provides innovative, quality services addressing intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, homelessness, addiction recovery, and more. The organization is committed to empowering people of all abilities to achieve independence and build better lives for themselves, their families, and communities.

RHD specializes in creating innovative, quality services with a broad service mission. The organization offers residential services, job training, assisted transportation, and crisis intervention for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, addiction recovery needs, and people experiencing homelessness. RHD prides itself on a history of innovation rooted in core values of dignity, respect, consumer and staff empowerment, and flexibility to meet changing community needs.
RHD's executive leadership includes CEO Brian Matthew Rhodes, Esq., three Vice Presidents of Regional Operations (Emmett Highbaugh, John Cooper, and Paul Ronollo), and senior executive directors overseeing business development, nursing, operational systems, quality and compliance, and project management and communications.
RHD hosts community events including the Main Line Wine Gala and Philly Pours fundraising events. The organization is celebrating 55 years of service with a commemorative event scheduled for June 26, 2025.
