Community College of Philadelphia is an open-admission, associate-degree-granting institution serving Philadelphia with degree and certificate programs in liberal arts, career technologies, and basic academic skills. The College operates multiple campuses including the Main Campus, Career and Advanced Technology Center, Northeast Regional Center, and West Regional Center, offering respected liberal arts and transfer programs alongside superior career programs and innovative developmental offerings.
CCP is led by President Dr. Alycia A. Marshall, the seventh president of the College, who previously served as provost and vice president for Academic and Student Success. The College is governed by a 15-member Board of Trustees appointed by the mayor of Philadelphia, chaired by Harold T. Epps, with members including state representatives, workforce development leaders, and community engagement professionals.
CCP offers degree and certificate programs across seven areas of interest: Business, Entrepreneurship & Law; Creative Arts; Design, Construction & Transportation; Education & Human Services; Health Care; Liberal Arts and Communications; and Science & Technology. The College provides multiple class delivery formats, online learning options, continuing education programs, and middle and high school student programs.
CCP hosts a variety of events including admissions events, campus tours, open enrollment sessions, community celebrations, and student activations. Recent and upcoming events include Juneteenth celebrations across multiple campuses, the Rhythm and RISE 60th anniversary celebration, and information sessions for specific programs such as Medical Laboratory Technician.
