The Veterans Multi-Service Center (VMC) is a Philadelphia-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans through comprehensive services including employment assistance, housing support, mental health programs, and benefits counseling. With a strong board of experienced leaders and a commitment to veteran advocacy, VMC provides critical resources to help veterans thrive in their communities.
VMC's Board of Directors includes President Stephen Ramsey, an executive with Lockheed Martin; Vice President Jim Davie, a service-disabled veteran and business owner; Treasurer Steve Phillabaum, a Naval Academy graduate and veteran leader; and Secretary Susan Kretsge, former Deputy Mayor of Philadelphia who led efforts to end veteran homelessness. Board members bring expertise in technology, real estate, housing development, cybersecurity, and veteran advocacy.
VMC offers a range of services including veteran employment programs, housing assistance and permanent supportive housing, a day service center, women veterans programs, benefits and entitlement assistance, legal services, the SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Program, and the New Day Outreach Program.
Upcoming VMC events include WMGK's 20th Annual Veteran Radiothon on June 12, 2026, a Women Veterans Day Celebration on June 12, 2026 (made possible by Boeing), and the 2026 VMC Golf Outing on October 5 at Philmont Country Club.
